Worlds of Fun, Kansas City Missouri
Worlds of Fun is a theme park for the entire family located in Kansas City. Opened in 1973, Worlds of Fun is themed around the Jules Verne's adventure "Around the World in Eighty Days". Over 235 acres, including a water park Oceans of Fun, there is a full day of entertainment for the whole family.
There are 10 major thrill rides at Worlds of Fun, with everything from roller coasters to water rides. If you dare ride the Mamba roller coaster you'll be treated to one of the most amazing rides of your life on this 205 foot tall monster which is one of the longest, tallest and fastest coasters ever built. Newly added is the Patriot, a $14 million steel roller coaster which takes riders on a 60 mile per hour screamer, upside down with their feet dangling below them. Perfect for the entire group, the Monsoon is a water coaster that fits up to 20 passengers and takes them on a 50 foot plunge, splashing down into an awaiting lagoon.
Oceans of Fun is packed with thrill water rides as well as rides for the little ones and the entire family. Just for the adults however is the Castaway Cove, which allows the big kids in the group to relax by the pool with an ice cold beverage.
Camp Snoopy is a special place for the kids, as well as the adults. Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the whole Peanuts gang is on hand, as are themed rides and amusements for the little ones.
