Green Mountain Film Festival in Vermont
A ten day festival of film from all over the world. The hardest thing about planning a film festival is not sorting through all the bad films: its sorting through all the good ones. There are so many great films in the world - almost too many to choose from. Where they come from nobody knows. For many of us film festivals are the only chance we will get to see them. Thats certainly what the Green Mountain Film Festival is all about, and has been for the last ten years.
GMFF is the same but different this year. They have tossed a few more ingredients into the mix. As well as the Savoy Theater, the Montpelier City Arts Center, and the Kellogg-Hubbard Library, you will find events at two new venues: the Unitarian Church and Langdon Street Cafe. They have also managed to squeeze extra screenings in at both ends of the day. So, if your secret pleasure is to try to see everything, be warned; the bar has been raised. With limited parking I would recommend chartering a sedan or coach for the day.
