Now NYC with the help of Mayor Bloomberg is looking to make NYC the Wedding Capital of the US. The number of people getting married in Vegas has dropped and NYC is quickly looking to replace it. Hoping to bring in the tourists, NYC has redesigned it's Marriage Bureau in a newly refurbished ornate building that dates back to 1929. The new 24,000 sq foot wedding space opened on January 5th, the newly designed building hopes to attract couples from all over the world. NYC is the capital of the world, and millions of tourists flock here every year to see the sights, now NYC hopes they will stop to get married here as well. City Hall weddings in NYC are not all that uncommon, and the new space provides all the amenities a quick wedding requires including a small wedding shop where brides a grooms can get those last minute Wedding Essentials, like the rings!
