Boulder Beach Water Park, Idaho
|
This 12-acre water park, the largest, most advanced of its kind in the Northwest, is located at Silverwood Theme Park. Boulder Beach was designed with the whole family in mind, with slides, pools, and interactive play features for the little ones and a wave pool and 40-foot water slides for older kids and teens. Everyone can enjoy the lazy river ride and there's even a float-up beverage bar. This summer the big kahuna and all the beach boys and girls will be cooling off in one of the Boulder Beach Water Park's 40-foot tube slides, lazy river, kid's tree house or giant wave pool. Charter a coach bus for a large family fun trip. |

Sherman county Kansas
|
Sherman County has a kaleidoscope of color with the changing of the seasons . . . The white mantle of winter, spring showers bring the young green grass to the prairie, the yucca plants flower. . . The green wheat turns to gold in late June, and the acres of sunflowers begin their fabulous journey from dark green buds to bursts of true sunshine on the ground in late July and early August. . . Autumn brings changing and falling leaves, ripe corn and feed grains, the cackle of rooster pheasants and wild turkeys, while deer and other wild life begin their winter routines . . . and all throughout the year, the panoramic vistas offer incomparable sunrises and sunsets. . . We are serene, we are exciting . . . We are waiting for YOU!
There is plenty to see and enjoy in and around Sherman County. Charter a luxury limousine or for a larger group a coach bus to hop from attraction to attraction. Fish and picnic at Smoky Gardens recreation site south of Goodland. Swim in Goodland's public swimming pool. Play tennis, horseshoes or just relax in one of our five city parks. Enjoy a round of golf at our 18-hole golf course.
One of my favorite attractions is the giant Van Gogh sunflower painting on an 80-foot easel. The painting stands in a park complex. The projects intent is to reproduce all seven of Vincent van Gogh's sunflower paintings on giant easels in seven different countries around the globe. The project is expected to be included in the Guiness Book of World Records. |

Discover Maine's architectual character
|
The architectural character of Maines small towns and villages is intrinsically linked to the history of its people. Buildings and the cultural landscapes of which they are a part are a reflection of the time and place in which they were constructed, as well as the people who created them. They inform our conceptions of the past, our sense of the local aesthetic, and the values of the community. Chartering a bus coach to sample what Maine has to offer is the most relaxing way to appreciate your surroundings.
A journey through the different regions of Maine will reveal both stark contrasts and the subtle variations in the appearance of its villages and rural areas. For example, the Acadian heritage architecture in the St. John River Valley of Aroostook County is markedly different from the farms of western Maine, as is the design of rustic inland sporting camps when contrasted with the architect-designed cottages of the coastal summer colonies. More subtle changes become evident in a comparison of traditional building practices from community to community.
Here, one may observe the differences of taste as well as the individual skills and training of local builders and the materials from which they fashioned a wide variety of buildings. On the other hand, the architecture of Maines small towns and villages is also recognizable in a regional and national context where basic design precepts and common features that distinguish one stylistic form from another are apparent. |

Mount Rushmore South Dakota
|
Mount Rushmore National Memorial, located 23 miles southwest of Rapid City, is something you dont want to miss. Charter a coach bus and see the greatest free attraction in the US!
"Until the wind and the rain alone shall wear them away." Those are the famous words Sculptor Gutzon Borglum used to describe the length of time his most famous work, Mt. Rushmore, will endure.
The mountain itself was originally named after Charles E. Rushmore, a New York lawyer investigating mining claims in the Black Hills in 1885. Gutzon Borglum chose this mountain due to its height (5700' above sea level), the soft grainy consistency of the granite, and the fact that it catches the sun for the greatest part of the day. The presidents were selected on the basis of what each symbolized. George Washington represents the struggle for independence, Thomas Jefferson the idea of government by the people. Abraham Lincoln for his ideas on equality and the permanent union of the states, and Theodore Roosevelt for the 20th century role of the United States in world affairs. The carving of Mt. Rushmore actually began on August 10, 1927, and spanned a length of 14 years. Only about six and a half years were spent actually carving the mountain, with the rest of the time being spent on weather delays and Borglum's greatest enemy - the lack of funding. The total cost of the project was $900,000. Work continued on the project until the death of Gutzon Borglum in 1941. No carving has been done on the mountain since that time and none is planned in the future.
The granite faces of four American presidents' is scaled to men who would stand 465 feet tall! President Calvin Coolidge believed Mount Rushmore was "decidedly American in its conception, magnitude and meaning. It is altogether worthy of our country," Coolidge proclaimed at the dedication of the project in 1927.
The most spectacular program at Mount Rushmore is the evening lighting ceremony held in the new amphitheater, 9:00 PM sharp. A must see when you are touring the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. |

Nevadas Indian Territory
|
In contemporary Nevada, many of the descendents of the states original settlers continue to occupy portions of their ancestral lands. For example, Pyramid Lake, located north of Reno, is located within the boundaries of a Northern Paiute Indian reservation. Reflecting the magnificent natural beauty of the region, Pyramid Lake Rd. (State Rt. 445) has been designated a National Scenic Byway, the only federal scenic byway located entirely within the boundaries of an Indian reservation.
Additionally, the Nevada State Museum in Carson City has an extensive display of native Nevadan artifacts, as well as dioramas showing daily life before the arrival of the white settlers. The Stewart Indian Cultural Center, south of Carson City, was a federal boarding school for Indians until 1980. Today, it houses exhibits on the history of the school. Plan a day trip and charter a coach bus to wisk you from museum to museum.
These days, Nevadas tribes are involved in a variety of business enterprises ranging from native craft shops to smoke shops. The Las Vegas Paiute Resort, owned and operated by the Southern Paiutes, includes two championship golf courses located 20 miles northwest of Las Vegas, in the shadow of the 11,918-foot Charleston Peak. |

Green Mountain Film Festival in Vermont
|
A ten day festival of film from all over the world. The hardest thing about planning a film festival is not sorting through all the bad films: its sorting through all the good ones. There are so many great films in the world - almost too many to choose from. Where they come from nobody knows. For many of us film festivals are the only chance we will get to see them. Thats certainly what the Green Mountain Film Festival is all about, and has been for the last ten years.
GMFF is the same but different this year. They have tossed a few more ingredients into the mix. As well as the Savoy Theater, the Montpelier City Arts Center, and the Kellogg-Hubbard Library, you will find events at two new venues: the Unitarian Church and Langdon Street Cafe. They have also managed to squeeze extra screenings in at both ends of the day. So, if your secret pleasure is to try to see everything, be warned; the bar has been raised. With limited parking I would recommend chartering a sedan or coach for the day. |

You cant even from a distance, its a dramatic architectural work of art.Tucked away between major art players Milwaukee and Chicago, the Racine Art Museum (RAM) is not only a sight to see, it is a genuine destination - surrounded by restaurants, bars, shops, galleries, and an urban beat reminiscent of Soho in New York only smaller, and with cheaper parking. Golfing in Alabama
|
These are the kinds of shots you always remember, the ones that give you that extra zing of adrenaline before and after you swing. Stand on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Tennessee River and hit a tee shot over what seems to be a bottomless ravine. Stand on a bluff hovering above the Alabama River and watch your drive seemingly sail through the clouds, then fall to a ribbon of fairway 200 feet below. Stand in the fairway and aim at twin greens dissected by an 80-foot waterfall.
These are the kind of breathtaking shots you'll find up and down the world-famous Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Alabama. The Trail, which receives rave reviews each year, helped transform the state into one of the most popular golf destinations in the world. Other states have tried to copy the concept, but Alabama's Trail is the unrivaled original. Whether you stay on the Trail or venture to some of the state's other hideaways by coach bus, its definitely worth the golf trip to Alabama. |

St. Augustine, Florida
|
On August 28, the Feast Day of Saint Augustine, Don Pedro Menendez de Aviles first sighted the coast of Florida. Twelve days later, on September 8, he stepped ashore, planted the Spanish flag into the sandy soil and, with soldiers and settlers who had traveled with him and Timicuans who greeted his arrival watching, Menendez founded a new city and named it St. Augustine. The year was 1565.
From that day until today, the City of St. Augustine has continued to survive and thrive, making it the longest continually inhabited European founded city in the United States, or more commonly called the "Nations Oldest City." Today St. Augustine continues to thrive and prosper as it proudly proclaims over four centuries of history that includes Spanish and English, Greek and Minorcan, Native American and African American influences. A visitor to St. Augustine may delve into the citys history by visiting one of many museums depicting the way of life of early Spanish colonists, or may choose to simply enjoy the feel of history by strolling the narrow old world streets. Even if history is not a center of interest, visitors cannot help but appreciate the rich heritage that makes St. Augustine a unique getaway. When visiting St. Augustine, the perfect first stop is the St. Augustine/St. Johns County Visitor Information Center. From this central facility, one may plan a day-long or a week-long stay as helpful guides will answer questions about museums, historical sites, transportation, guided tours, restaurants, shopping opportunities, recreation and lodging. Also, check into chartering a coach bus to take you from one interesting destination to another.

|
SoHo is shorthand for south of Houston (pronounced "how-stun") street, north of Canal Street, and between Sullivan and Lafayette Streets in Manhattan.
This most diverse neighborhood in lower Manhattan has had a long history before becoming the heart and soul of New York City. Artists such as Phillip Glass, Twyla Tharp, Nam June Paik, Meredith Monk, Chuck Close, Frank Stella, plus many others helped create the ideal situation to make SoHo the Nexus of creative activity for a very magical time in the 1960's. SoHo came to represent the hip, avant garde scene.
Today SoHo is synonymous with trendy shopping, world class art galleries, and cast iron buildings. It is also the backdrop for movie locations, fashion shoots, and one of the best places in the city to catch a glimpse of movie stars, many of whom live in SoHo.
Because of it's unique history and architecture SoHo became a favorite movie set, used by many movie and TV directors. It's look and feel has been copied in many movie lots. SoHo has been used as a location to such movies as Men In Black, Ghost, Unfaithful, Hitch, Little Nicky, Spiderman, Raising Helen, Sex and the City, plus many more. The Grand Canyon we visit today is a gift from past generations. Take time to enjoy this gift. Sit and watch the changing play of light and shadows. Wander along a trail and feel the sunshine and wind on your face. Attend a ranger program. Follow the antics of ravens soaring above the rim. Listen for the roar of the rapids far below. Niagara Falls
|
If your in the area or planning a bus charter trip to Canada, Niagara Falls is the perfect place to visit. Niagara Falls is a set of massive waterfalls located on the Niagara River in eastern North America, on the border between the United States and Canada. Niagara Falls comprises three separate waterfalls: the Horseshoe Falls (Canadian Falls), the American Falls, and the smaller, adjacent Bridal Veil Falls. The Falls are located 16 miles (26 km) away from the U.S. city of Buffalo and 43 miles (69 km) from the Canadian city of Toronto.
The Falls formed after the receding of the glaciers of the most recent Ice Age, as water from the newly formed Great Lakes carved a path through the Niagara Escarpment en route to the Atlantic Ocean. While not exceptionally high, Niagara Falls is very wide. With more than 6 million cubic feet of water falling over the Crest line every minute in high flow, and almost 4 million cubic feet on average, it is the most powerful waterfall in North America.
Niagara Falls is not renowned only for its beauty. The Falls are a valuable source of hydroelectric power for both Ontario and New York. A popular tourist site for over a century, the Falls are shared between the twin cities of Niagara Falls, Ontario and Niagara Falls, New York. |
