A great place to bring the whole class for a day of intellectual intrigue would be the Bronx museum of the Arts. All the students will be amazed by all of the breath taking artwork that your class can relate to in an easy to understand matter. They have many different exhibitions for your class to check out. To start off they have the AIM 25 exhibition where artists use portraits to address political and social issues. On Wednesday the museum takes a creative twist on their art. They combine many different types of art forms such as art, combining various art forms such as music, performance, and film. Thus creating a hip-hop vibe for the community to enjoy in an easy to understand manner. They host many family programs. One is called Families First and the other is called Family Affair. They both provide many hands on workshops every Saturday from 1:00-3:00 PM. These workshops are available for anyone at any age to participate in.
The Bronx Museum of the Arts is an inexpensive way for your class to see the arts. Admission: $3 for Students and seniors, $5 for adults, Free for members and Children under 12, and free on Wednesdays. You will actually see that the field is made by a combination of Merion Bluegrass and clover. The stadium is quite big it has been expanded twice leading up to the maximum occupancy of 38900 fans.
If you were thinking it you were right. The field and team are related to the gum maker William Wrigley. William Wrigley bought the field and the team in 1957.
The stadium also has it's own type of classic look. You can tell by looking at the scoreboard. It was built in 1937 and is still operating today. It's not like most of the others it s actually manually operated. Another classic piece to complete the look is that it has the first permanent concession stand in baseball it was created in 1914.
The stadium also has a few customs as well. They are on of the firsts to allow fans to be thrown balls and keep foul balls.
