Tropicana Field, FL

Charter a limo bus to go to this ballparkin style. The ballpark originally began construction in 1986 in the hope that it would lure a Major League Baseball team to the Tampa Bay area. The stadium, built originally as the Florida Suncoast Dome, was first used in an attempt to entice the Chicago White Sox to relocate if a new ballpark were not built to replace the aging Comiskey Park. The governments of Chicago and Illinois eventually agreed to build a New Comiskey Park (now known as U.S. Cellular Field) in 1989, and the White Sox owners ceased discussing the idea of moving the team to the Tampa Bay Area.
The stadium was finished in 1990, but still had no tenants. There were rumors of the Seattle Mariners moving in the early part of the 1990s, and the San Francisco Giants were reportedly very close to moving to the area, with Tampa Bay investors even announcing they were in a press conference in 1992. However, the sale was blocked by the then-owner of the Florida Marlins, Blockbuster Video Chairman H. Wayne Huizenga, and the move never happened. A local boycott of Blockbuster Video stores occurred for several years thereafter.
The Suncoast Dome did manage to gain a tenant in 1993 when the Tampa Bay Lightning made the stadium its home for three seasons. In the process, the Suncoast Dome was renamed the Thunderdome. Because of the large capacity of what was basically a park built for baseball, several NHL attendance records were set during their time there. The Tampa Bay Storm of the AFL also played there during the Thunderdome era, and set attendance records for that league as well.
Finally, in 1995, the dome got a baseball team when the MLB expanded to the Tampa Bay area. Changes were made to the stadium and the name, which was changed due to the sale of naming rights to Tropicana Products, thus renaming it Tropicana Field in 1996. A $70 million renovation then took place — to upgrade a stadium that had cost $115 million to complete only eight years earlier. The first regular season baseball game took place at the park on March 31, 1998, when the Devil Rays faced the Detroit Tigers, losing 11-6.
Although Tropicana was purchased by PepsiCo in 1998, PepsiCo did not elect to make any changes to Tropicana's naming rights.
The park was initially built with an AstroTurf surface, but it was replaced in 2000 by softer FieldTurf, becoming the first major professional facility to use it. A new version of FieldTurf, FieldTurf Duo, is being installed prior to the 2007 season.
Tropicana Field underwent a further $25-million facelift prior to the 2006 season. Another $10 million in improvements was added during the season.

St. Augustine, Florida

On August 28, the Feast Day of Saint Augustine, Don Pedro Menendez de Aviles first sighted the coast of Florida. Twelve days later, on September 8, he stepped ashore, planted the Spanish flag into the sandy soil and, with soldiers and settlers who had traveled with him and Timicuans who greeted his arrival watching, Menendez founded a new city and named it St. Augustine. The year was 1565.
From that day until today, the City of St. Augustine has continued to survive and thrive, making it the longest continually inhabited European founded city in the United States, or more commonly called the "Nations Oldest City." Today St. Augustine continues to thrive and prosper as it proudly proclaims over four centuries of history that includes Spanish and English, Greek and Minorcan, Native American and African American influences. A visitor to St. Augustine may delve into the citys history by visiting one of many museums depicting the way of life of early Spanish colonists, or may choose to simply enjoy the feel of history by strolling the narrow old world streets. Even if history is not a center of interest, visitors cannot help but appreciate the rich heritage that makes St. Augustine a unique getaway. When visiting St. Augustine, the perfect first stop is the St. Augustine/St. Johns County Visitor Information Center. From this central facility, one may plan a day-long or a week-long stay as helpful guides will answer questions about museums, historical sites, transportation, guided tours, restaurants, shopping opportunities, recreation and lodging. Also, check into chartering a coach bus to take you from one interesting destination to another.

Amusement & Theme Parks for Corporate Events

There is no better way to thank your employees than by taking them on a bus charter day trip or even overnight stay to one of the many amusement or them parks located around the country.
First, there is a difference between theme and amusement parks. Theme parks are usually the larger franchise parks such as the Disney or Six Flags chain, they operate amusement parks in most major cities. Most theme parks offer big rides, major food chains, as well as first call live entertainment. Amusement parks are commonly the smaller parks which are usually located in beach communities and boardwalks.
All theme parks will have corporate discount packages, and most even offer catering and meeting services tailored to the larger size corporations. Theme parks are mainly located in or near major cities with hotels near by, providing an opportunity for a long weekend trip for the company. You'll also find that them parks have the larger parking lots that can accommodate the larger size coaches and charter buses, some parks will even allow the driver to get in for free. The east coast has some of the most famous and largest parks in the country; Six Flags Great adventure is in New Jersey, DisneyWorld is in Florida, Dorney Park and Wild Water Kingdom is in Pennsylvania. While on the west coast, Disneyland is a major attraction.
Smaller Amusement Parks can be great for the day trip to the shore for the company picnic or event. The Maryland and New Jersey Shore's are peppered with great amusement parks and boardwalks. Most amusement parks are great for smaller corporate events, parking is usually a little tighter and food, meeting and dining options can be sometimes limited.
Either way, any company will benefit from a day or weekend of fun, away from the office. Also remember to book you bus charter in advance and make reservations at that theme or amusement park atleast three to four weeks in advance.

Gator Park, Miami Florida

Florida is home to the American Alligator, as a matter of fact lately there are everywhere. But until a few years ago the American Alligator was actually on the verge of becoming an endangered species. Wildlife Parks like Gator Park have done a lot to help in the conservation and preservation of these beautiful creatures.
Located in the Everglades, Gator Park is a lush environment to view and interact with some of Floridas most beautiful and deadly creatures. You'll get a chance to see the wide array of wildlife that is present in the Everglades, aside from the gators. The Everglades are also home to the American Crocodiles, which are different from gators in that the croc's can live in slightly salty water. There are over 200,000 alligators currently making their homes in the Everglades.
Florida's diverse wildlife is present in the Everglades. On a tour of Gator Park you'll come across snakes, turtles and exotic birds such as peacocks and macaws. A tour is not only interesting but educational as the tour operators are very well trained and knowledgeable.
A demonstration is given at Gator Park which displays a bare-handed tehnique used by Indians to capture live gators. At the show, visitors have the opportunity to come face to face with the alligators and even hold a baby.
A favorite of visitors is an Airboat Tour of the Everglades. Offered every 30 minutes daily, an experienced tour guide takes you on a tour around the Everglades pointing out the sights to see as you go. As you start out your tour, most likely you'll be greeted by a 6 foot alligator named Jumbo.
Gator Park can be had for private parties as well as corporate events. It is a great stop when on a bus charter trip to Miami Florida, or make plans for a special event or birthday party; they also offer full catering services. For reservations or more information, contact John at 1-800-559-2205.
